Quentin
Tarantino will executive
produce the independent
production ''Curdled,''
about a young woman's
fascination with a serial
killer's style, sources
said Thursday.
It
is a first feature for
co-scripters John Maass
and Reb Braddock, whose
short film by the same
name caught Tarantino's
eye on the festival circuit.
The
three developed the short
into a feature-length
script, which Braddock
will direct. ''Curdled''
is a character piece budgeted
at less than $3 million
and set to roll in Florida
in October.
The
picture is financed by
France's Banque Paribas
and sources say there
are several distributors
circling the project.
Banque
Paribas also financed
Tarantino's ''Reservoir
Dogs''; ''True Romance,''
which he scripted; ''Killing
Zoe,'' which he executive
produced; and MGM's ''Sleep
With Me,'' in which he
stars.
Tarantino's
''Reservoir Dogs'' is
in rerelease and his ''Pulp
Fiction'' will be distributed
by Miramax in October.
Tarantino has a story
credit on the upcoming
''Natural Born Killers''
for Warner Bros.
Mike
Simpson, Tarantino's William
Morris Agency rep, was
unavailable at press time,
as were United Talent
Agency's Andrew Cannava
and Chris Buchanan, who
represent the writers.
