'Fishes,'
'Box' to Lakeshore

CITY, Utah -- Executives
at Lakeshore Entertainment
concluded two deals here
Tuesday when the Los Angeles-based
company acquired foreign
distribution on one film
and licensed U.S. distribution
on another.
Sources
told The Hollywood Reporter
that Trimark Pictures
acquired U.S. distribution
rights on "Box of
Moonlight," written
and directed by Tom DiCillo
and starring John Turturro.
Sources
pegged the deal as worth
$3 million in combined
P&A and minimum guarantees.
"Box"
was produced by Lakeshore
CEO/chairman Tom Rosenberg,
company president Sigurjon
Sighvatsson, Michael
Mendelsohn and Steven
Sherman.
Mendelsohn's
Union Patriot Capital,
which manages Banque Paribas'
loan portfolio, structured
the financial deal for
"Box" with Paribas
supplying the financing.
The
film was acquired by Trimark's
chairman Mark Amin and
vp specialized theatrical
distribution Ray Price
following Monday night's
premiere showing here
at the Sundance Film Festival.
Largo Entertainment holds
international rights to
"Box" and Norstar
has Canadian rights.
Lakeshore
International, a division
of Lakeshore Entertainment,
has acquired all international
rights to Finn Taylor's
"Dream With the Fishes,"
a drama about the life-altering
journey of two men.
A
seven-figure deal was
closed by Lakeshore International's
Rena Ronson along with
Rosenberg and his Lakeshore
partner Ted Tannebaum.
